Kat,
Don't sweat it...you are worrying like a Mom does. My mom still does it, and I've been in the Army for over 20 years. She still gets wobbly when I go overseas, and I've been deployed 9 times. Moms never stop thinking of their sons as "kids". That your son has chosen a profession that may send him into harm's way is not easy for you, but it sounds like you did a good job raising him, and I will be proud to serve along side him, as will my wife's son, who goes in in November. Honestly, he's safer in the Army than driving on I-40...I've got the stats to prove it! And about getting old....."Before you can be Old and Wise you must be Young and Foolish...." I haven't perfected the young and foolish part yet...stand by... |
