The pink ribbon link to picking up a dropped bike. I like to have it handy since the topic seems to come up on a semi-regular basis.

The technique works, it is detailed in my owners manual for my big, really big, BMW touring bike. The bike weighs 835 pounds, dry. I was concerned when I bought it, and there was actually a section on picking the bike up. Do they expect the bike to fall over???? So far, 60,000 miles, and never fallen. The best advice in this thread is to have somone help if there is someone nearby, maybe this is the reason for the skirt
