Default Suzuki recalls 70,000 motorcycles just to fix Tammy's!

Seriously, Tammy, doesn't this sound like it could be the root cause of all your electrical woes? Well, your bike's electrical woes, anyway?

Isn't Tammy's an '07? There's no '07s on that list. my room-mate's 'busa on the other hand IS on that list. :O

That does kinda sound like the symptoms hers has, but unless it can overheat in 10 minutes time, I don't think that specifically is the problem.

If the affected part is a "newer part", then I guess he bike has it. IIRC it was replaced on last's year ride to Deals Gap. So... if Suzuki was installing those on their bikes and selling them as spares, Tammy's bike must have one.

Also the recall says something about bikes built in '07, and the only thing we know is that her bike is '07, but not when it was built.

Mine is an '07. The reg/rect did go bad last year, but it was really sudden and really bad. It didn't drain the battery, it overcharged the living shit out of it. Not like what they described at all.

The other main issue it has isn't anything like the symptoms of a bad reg/rect.

And mine was manufactured in May '07, so it doesn't fall in the recall range. Like that would ever happen.
