There are two spaces in the above quote following the full stop, the way God, Strunk, and White intended. Please turn off whatever freakish formatting rule is collapsing them into a single space. Single-spacing after full stops is a mark of the devil and only makes people's half-assed texted posts that much more difficult to decipher. Fix it.

That formatting rule is so old even the New York publishing houses have moved away from it. We're not chiseling words into a printing press anymore.

Now I get it, but really? I doubt anyone can change that. I always double space at the end of a sentence, taught that in high school typing class...on an actual typewriter. I typed it, it stayed put, I hope we never go back there again! LOL

In the college classes I'm taking, we're suppose to double space at the end of a sentence, to be in sync with MLA formatting. Beyond that, I'm confused as to what the complaint actually is.

Nevermind...I see it now. And yeah, that's weird how it does that. I've always used 2 spaces at the end, but don't normally pay attn to what actually posts after I've posted it.

Yep, always double space. More white space makes things easier to read.
