Piniella plans to retire
Well Lou Piniella announced retirement the end of this season. I wonder if this has anything with George Steinbrenner passing away recently? I know he was close with that family

Well, Lou isn't getting any younger and he has certainly earned some time to enjoy everything he has worked for in his life. We loved Lou in Seattle, he did a lot for our baseball team and it hasn't been the same since he left.
