Question NFL MVP for 2009?

Who's your pick as the player that gave more to his team than anyone else?

I say Favre...
--40 years old, still as dangerous at QB as any in the game
--4000 passing yards
--heart of a lion
--gave Minnesota the best record they've had in a long time, and a legit shot at the Superbowl
--without Favre, Minnesota is a .500 team at best
--did I mention he's 40?

Without Manning, Indy is under 500. Without Manning, no one watches the Colts games that are televised nationally.

Without Favre, Minnesota may or may not make the playoffs with a 10-6 record and a feature running back that is wildly popular. They get a few national televised games featured around A Pete. Or basically, just about exactly what they did last year without Favre.

Favre pissed off a lot of people with the drama in the off season, as well as the millions of Packers fans. Manning is the NFL's poster boy.

It all depends what you consider "MVP" to be. It seems to be most valuable to the league, not just a single team. I'm impressed with Favre's performance so far, but Peyton is the MVP.

Why would anyone care about the Colts? They threw the Jets game...and prolly the Bills game.

I voted for Farve, but I believe Manning will get it. He can do no wrong in the eyes of the NFL.

I can't believe Farve is still so golden in everyone's eyes after the stunts he pulled with GB etc .... lost integrity points as far as I'm concerned

crying .. I'm retiring ... not I'm not ... temper tantrum ... I'm retiring .. no I'm not .... etc etc etc

Really?

Jules, NO DOUBT he is a drama queen.....but I have watched every single play with the Vikings this year. It is remarkable that a 40 year old can play at this level for a sustained period of time. Remarkable.

Yeah he is one of the best ... but I value integrity more so not really a fan. Personally I can appreciate his skills but I don't respect him
