Halloween has been kind of lame for me since I quit trick-or-treating 27 years ago. I'm kind of lame about wearing costumes and such so Halloween parties are just somewhere to get alcohol and mingle. Trying to figure out how to tactfully bow out of a bud's costumed Halloween Party I decided to go for a ride somewhere this weekend.
While I was perusing another website I ran across the Church of Bones (aka Sedlec Ossuary) in the Czech Republic. So I go's. My intent was to get there Saturday night for my Halloween adventure. First I had to head to head to Neiderhausen for a friends birthday. Got there Friday night and went to bed early in preparation for my trip to the Church. I realized at one point that I wasn't going to make it to Sedlec without freezing to death so I reluctantly stopped in Praque ![]() ![]() Had a great dinner and some fine Pilsner beer. Woke up early in the morning and took a stroll across the St. Charles Bridge. There was a ton of construction going on the bridge and the weather was overcast so pics were a bit disappointing. But here's a couple anyways: ![]() ![]() After too short of a visit to Prague I headed off to the Church of Bones. |

Well, here's one more shot of Prague:
![]() After a short 70km ride, I reached the Church of Bones. Here's the sidewalk outside the Church (you kind of gather that this is starting to get the feel of a tourist trap): ![]() Here's a shot of outside the Church: ![]() You enter the "Church" and immediately pay 50 Czech Koruna in order to enter and take pictures. I think 50 CZK equals about 3 bucks US. You immediately start to see the reason why it's called the Church of Bones.

Of course, I had to have one shot of the Strom. This is in Prague at the Green Garden Hotel. Let's say circumstances (and a full bladder about to let go) decided that I would stay here. The hotel was extremely clean and the breakfast (included in price) was great. It was a bit on the pricey side (119 USD) but after a long cold ride it was well worth it:
