It's different enough that I wouldn't want to buy one based on my assessment of the Z1000.

AAnd actually it doesn't even matter because the ROK website doesn't list the new ninja as a demo bike.

So I might just ride over.

Well, Fugg. You think that it may be so new they haven't had time to list it? I can't see them doing this without one, especially if they want to get some exposure. I love the look and the layout. That bike is SO aimed at people like me, and I have been looking for an excuse to buy a Kawi anyway.
