Anybody in north central florida?

I need some riding partners or something, I ride basically every day that it's not raining. To put my exact location in perspective, I'm roughly 50 miles from Gainesville.

How far south are you willing to go?

Yes, but I don't ride here. I go to Lake county, or near Ocala. Or over to Crystal River.

I was going to randomly ride to tallahassee or something once my new tires came in (thanks for failing at life Parts Unlimited) because my current tires are as bald as I will be in 10 years lol. I could maybe ride to Ocala (I don't know where those other places are), I don't guess it's that much further, but didn't you say on a certain other forum that those riders tend to ride well beyond the legal limit?

Yeah they can get slightly insane. Good people though. I wouldnt try to drag you out with them. I only ride with them occassionally because they have a pattern of building group size & speeds up & up & up until someone gets seriously injured or killed, then they lay off & lie low for a while until it starts building up again & the process repeats. And this is how they described it to me. So... I just show up once a year or so & hope for the best.

What I like to do is ride north & explore. My uncle lives in Keystone Heights, near Middleburg. So I like to ride up there & explore all the country roads. Maybe we could meet up there somewhere.

Oh, and Crystal River is on the west coast between Cedar Key & Tampa. If you've never been there (specifically on Ozello Tr) you really must go. That could be a nice all day ride.

I'm not apposed to group rides if they ride within reason and atleast somewhat within the law and don't ride right on my ass, I can't hold a line very well on my bike because of the quick steering character of the bike and probably because of the worn to hell and back bias ply Bridgestones (WILL MY CONTI'S EVER COME IN?!). My thing is, if they haul ass around way over the speed limit I don't even attempt to catch up and just hang back, one time I did this and boom we never saw each other again so I was like "alright, whatever" and stopped by starbucks and got a joe and went home. lol

I like to ride north and explore as well, the north always pulls me towards it, but I do basically all of my exploring during the fall and winter months, I'm very hot natured so the heat usually just kills off any real enjoyment most of the time.

If you or any of your friends every make plans to come northward le tme know for sure!

EDIT: I've been as far south as Miami once, when me and my uncle were helping my cousin move there, but we were in a Uhaul on the interstate the whole way. I've been to Orlando once for Hot Import Nights way back.

I see no reason to ride to Miami. That is the stereotypical "Florida" that everyone complains about, thinking the whole state is that way.

When the heat subsides, lets plan a ride.
