I will try to be there by dark on Friday. Don't really have too many plans. I used to live in Daytona, so I usually just try to hang out. What plans do y'all have?

I like to walk around all the tents outside the speedway, check out the gear & stuff. If I get there early enough to sign up for a demo then I have be nearby for whenever my turn comes up. Maybe cruise main street once or twice if it's not raining. Usually right before blasting home in that evening. I just don't feel fulfilled if I don't ride around a little bit and look at all the other people riding around.

Well Biketoberfest is a bit disappointing this year. Only Yamaha and Kawi (and CanAm) have tents and are doing demos. Not as many vendor tents. Not as many people in general. We were able to walk right into Hooters across from the track and be seated immediately. Unheard of! (Though after eating what they were passing as food, it's not that surprising).

What's even more strange is today is the best weather I've ever experienced during any bike event in Daytona in the 25 years I've been going to them. The place should have been absolutely packed, but it wasn't. We did one entire Main Street loop, across both bridges in less than an hour. That was kind of nice, but weird.

I'm going back on the bike tomorrow. Me and my SO went over in the truck today in case we found anything we wanted to buy. Just ended up getting a bunch of t-shirts for family members.
