I have a great load for 243 that I would take after elk, 100gr Partition and 42 or 42.5gr RL22 (at work right now), with a CCI200. It's the most acurate load I ever seen out of a hunting rifle, consistent 1 hole groups. That load kills way better than it should, my son had it punch through both shoulders of his first cow elk, with no need for a follow up shot. The cow was a bit on the small side, but still proper bullet placement is much easier with a 243

I want to get Cathi a 7mm-08. Some people suggest a .243 Win, but the bullets are too light for anything over the size of your average Carolina Whitetail doe. The Accubond is a great bullet and that sounds like a good load. My late father's Pre-'64 M-70 .270 Win gets 1/2 MOA groups with 130 gr Sierra BTs, 40 Grains of 4064 and CCI 200s. I know that is old school, and only cranks about 2930fps but is one-hole consistent to 100 yds and adequate for Whitetails around here. Frankly, the Hornady Superformance 130 gr SST load at 3200fps is a 1 MOA load out of it too. Problem here, is finding big deer, lol.

She was shooting a 7mm-08, the load was 140gr Nosler accubond, 49gr RL19, CCI200 primer, seated 0.025 off of the lands. I'm getting consistent 1moa or better out of that load.
