So going to the track can be an assault on your senses. What's your favorite?
Personally, I love the smell of the race gass. There aren't many sweeter smells than a good VP110, or whatever your poison migh be. What about the track trips your trigger? |

Butterflies right before heading out. I always get really nervous before the first session or practice session. Then, I get really, really nervous gridding up for a start. Then there's the intense concentration rush you get when you are in the zone on the track and you can see everything, almost like it's in slow motion. There are times I could see specific people in the stands, even though I was looking at the end of the straight, way past the stands.
Then there's the noise. I love the noise of all the bikes, especially when there are all kinds of different kinds of motors going at the same time. And the colors. Lots of different bright colored bikes and leathers. Some really ratty bikes and leathers. The smells are great, too. Race fuel, race fuel exhaust, it's all good. It's tough to say what the best part is, aside from riding. The first knee down of the day is always a rush, too. Is there anything bad about going to the track, except maybe crashing?

Race gas, and the exhaust fumes. Rubber. The sounds of the bikes at full song. All the interesting stuff you see and people you meet in the paddock.

The sounds, I remember when Ducs started showing up at the track more and how much different they sounded. Just like as the 4 stroke mx bikes starting showing up more and you could really hear them running around the track compared to the 2 strokes. The smells, there were few that ran race gas so you could smell the difference as the bikes went past you in the pits.

Def the race gas. I swear they could make a high octane perfume and cologne and sell a TON of it! I know I'd have a hard time keeping my hands off someone with that kind of cologne on. Maybe that's why they don't make it bc they know we'd all be jumping each other like crazy

We camp there a lot rather than staying in a hotel. I love sleeping there at night, hearing all the frogs and crickets, and even gator calls from the retention ponds. The way you can see every star in the sky (a treat for me, now that I live in the city). I love the feeling of waking up in the morning there. It's still really quiet, maybe a one or two people moving around, people getting out of their tents and campers stretching and enjoying the morning air.

I love to walk the paddock early in the morning.
