I'm following that in another thread.
As for owning a 2011 ZX10R?
Nope. I learned my lesson with the 08 ZX10R.
It's great to have a hypersport, but practically not so much.

It might possibly only affect very early models, so you may not need to worry about it, Lauren.

Sorry for the thread-jack Tam!

The ZX10R comes geared tall from the factory. The Tall gearing means that to get into the meat of the powerband, you need to be in the green zone on the tach. The ZX10R will *almost* do the speed limit in 1st gear while still under redline! I put one tooth less on the front sprocket. Now, I have a better power band, but in 2nd/3rd/4th, a good roll of the throttle will bring the front up. As for 5th and 6th gear? I hardly ever use those gears since to cruise in the green zone, I'm into 100+ or I'm "lugging" along.

The handling and everything about the bike invites speed.

The ZX10R is so hard edged and in another league from my other bikes.

It's a fantastic bike that I love to ride, but for day to day practicallity, it's not the best choice out there.

It's also a Police magnet.
