Yea I know that's why I said they were getting to be the same size. Last time I sat on some bikes the 1000's did have just a bit more room in the distance from the seat to pegs, pegs to bars, and bars to seat plus the bars were mounted on top the top triple clamp so were a bit higher but that was a couple years ago and they have shrunk even more since then. I am 6'6" and getting where I am not so sure I want to deal with the riding position anymore. My last sportbike was an 03 R1 and it was almost huge when compared to the newest ones.

Actually, I am quite prepared to start doing it with the 750, since it will be another year before I can buy another bike. I don't intend on getting rid of Draco. Could you ride for 8 hours on a gsxr750 (or another bike with similiar ergos)?

I can, and have. On the 750 and the 600.

Of course, if it's hardcore all-day riding, I am really sore at the end of the day. But it won't always be hard-core riding.

Absolutely sweetie. As a matter of fact, I have done 10 hours straight, just resting long enough to get fuel in.

Also, when I went to Deal's Gap (Sept 2,3,4th) we logged 24 hours of riding. That equates to 8 hours per day. That was WITH a passenger. Then this past weekend We logged another 15 hours. So 2 weekends in a row, we've done 509 miles, and 440 miles. The last trip (440 miles) was hardcore hustling the bike. On a CBR600RR. All with this 39 yr old back To make up the 2 yr difference between us, we'll use the excuse of my handicap.

Oopsie, forgot to mention, that's KY/TN roads, not Florida
