So, got my insurance money, and I'm trying to decide between a new X11 or GP-Tech. Anyone have experience or insight on the two? I loved my X11, but I can get the AGV for half the price. Just really wondering about sizing, quality, etc.

Buy the one which fits your head the best and don't worry about the label

What the 'bee said. Go try them on, whichever one fits you best is the one you'll want. I've had a Shoei for the last three or four years, and I'm looking to move on to see what Scorpion has to offer, since motorcyclegear.com is having great deals on their helmets right now. I'll be running up to try the EXO-700 when I get the chance.

Well I know that, but I have nowhere around here to try on the AGV, which is why I wanted opinions about it. I tried on the X12 and couldn't stand it, so went ahead and ordered the AGV and an EXO-700 (which I know fits). So just gotta wait and see how they turn out.

I'm driving to a cyclegear sometime this winter when I finally buy new gear. No one close has Bell or top line HJC helmets. I have to try on cause I'm in between sizes large and xlarge. I can wear an xlarge scorpion but not a large. Large shoei's fit me perfect.

That's how I am. Pretty much in between the two. Hopefully the Scorpion I got won't be too small, but I can almost fit into a M that is for the girl passenger, so I figured a L would be smart.

I've had quite a few different brands through the years...Off the top of my head (no pun intended
) I know I've had Bell, AGV, Arai, Shoei, HJC, KBC...I think I've crashed in every one, too ![]() Anyway, they're all great lids, and did what they're built for very well...But when you compare them in terms of likeability, the Arai and Shoei are just sooo much better...They are so light, and well ventilated, , and wind noise was minimal, and fit like a glove...The onlly complaint I ever had was the Arai side covers...HAY-TED THEM!!! Truth is though, todays helmets are all so well put together that you really can't make a bad pick (although I feel Arai and Shoei are still a step above)..But I'd try them on, and see what fits you the best...Then google the helmet for the good and the bad... When you pick one, post up
