Don't know that a jacket would have prevented that, but it probably would have looked less tasty.

Guard rails are bad news for motorcycles.

Its def not that bad. No limbs or appendages missing.

I feel like at 30mph it at least would have helped the situation. Guy wouldve needed full armor including kidney pads to prevent it.

Ok I looked. Definitely a scary wound, dude was lucky he lived. But not as bad as unrecognizable bits of meat and intestines strung up and down the road.

Its bad enough that it makes my stomach queasy, but not that bad cause I want to keep looking at it.

People always give me shit when I wear full leathers (back protector, full length leathers, boots, gloves, helmet, earplugs) even when it's 100 plus degrees.

Picture posted proves it over and over, again and again. Wear 'em. Physics wins out every time even on those "little" 30 mph slides/wipeouts.

There's always a few chuckles when I and other people show up with jacket, gloves, boots, and helmets when its pushing 100 and 90% humidity. I really dont care. They claim theyve never laid their bike down but thats usually because they're just riding from quick trip to quick trip.
