I just replaced my OEM battery, it lasted 7 years 5 months

My XT still has the OEM AGM battery, it's 4 years old and shows no signs of wear! All of my low displacement bikes had the regular lead/acid batteries, none of which lasted more than a couple of years. Only downside of AGM batteries is the price and, for me, the availability.

As for to shaving 4-5 pounds off the bike... Take some laxatives the day before, that is cheaper and should do the trick.
