I laid out a trip to Amicalola Falls and surrounding areas. It will be about a 4 hour ride

We could go. Only, if I'm going to the West coast, I'm going to Ozello. The route I take includes Gobbler Dr, I just don't see the point in going that far and not going on to Ozello.

Haven't you been out there before?

The best way I can think of to describe Gobbler is that it's like a mini gap road, with no elevation changes, in an old neighborhood, with sand in a lot of the corners. It's actually pretty scary because there are so many driveways and forks in the road or intersections every couple hundred feet. It's in some fairly thick trees for a residential area, and there are usually lots and lots of Harleys and other cruisers on the road. It's as twisty as Ozello (maybe more since it doesn't have many straights), but not as fun, IMO, because of the sand and potential obstacles.

However, unlike Ozello, you aren't in danger of launching yourself into salt water if you run off the road.
