hopping on my bike and leaving the driveway ... TWISTIES! ... coming up over the mountain and seeing Bartlett Lake below ... riding thru the mountains in general!

Exactly...the transition is so awesome.

My favorite physical sensation is the bike settling into a nice curve, then getting back into the throttle as we come out of it and straighten up.

From a mental or emotional perspective, it's the deep, full awareness and clarity I get about life in general when I'm riding. All worry and stress are temporarily gone, and all that matters is I'm there, riding, on a bike I love as if it were a living being. And the fact that I can, and am riding. Really thankful that this thing is part of my life.

What everyone said above plus hanging out with people of the same mindset about riding

Fast uphill sweepers are INCREDIBLY fun also. Best one I've hit is local, nice uphill left turn that you (well, I) can take at around 75 mph.

You track freaks would probably demolish me, but hey - it's incredible!

I love to follow a really good rider who will make me improve in the slow stuff like The Gap.
A rider who I've ridden with a lot and knows my limits is perfect.
