Damn, I'm tired of selling bikes. (rant)

So here is the only trouble Ive had of recent........

Sold an F4i wheel to kid off the other forum and told him that for all intents and purposes the rim was straight ie no big ass dents and shit in it.

I sell the wheel for 120 shipped..........a smoking price on a used front wheel.

The kid takes it and puts it on a static balancer and spins it. Evidently it has a small section of "walk" or "shimmy" in the wheel, never got the measurement but he wants out of it.

We settle on a full refund minus his return shipping.

I often wonder what the fuck people expect on used parts. I mean do they think I get brand new bikes and strip them to parts to sell off?

Yep, if you expect NEW then buy NEW. I mean really if you are that worried buy NEW, USED is not for you. And I'm referring to the kid in your post should he ever read this. OEM is not 100% perfect either, if they were then when you put a rim without tire on a balancer it would stay put no matter where you turned it.

I used to sell used cars at one time and had people come in a pick them apart. Stains on the carpet, scratches in the paint, and other bs. I used to tell them if they wanted perfect then go buy new and it still will not be perfect. You are looking at used so you either accept that it is used and has some minor things with it or go next door and buy a new one.
