FIERY DEMISE FOR A TITAN OF NATURE - WWW.THEDAILY.COM

The 3,500 year old cypress pine, apparently confusing "Tibetan monk" with "Tibetan monkey", allegedly doused itself in gasoline before self-recycling. Bystanders reported a soft soughing of breeze through the gently wafting boughs of the flaming monarch, sounding like "I go to join the poor monkeys", or possibly "I donate my carbon credits to Monsanto".

LOL, I hate to laugh, but I used to be one of those ignorant people who thought 'science was wrong' and 'they're just manipulating numbers.' I'm glad I grew up (still have religious beliefs, but not nearly as convicted as I once was). But, I of course, claimed the earth to only be 10,000 years old, mind you!
