Default Are those from Burn Outs?

So we are getting ready to leave from a place where we've just finished eating. It's a "Biker" place. We are outside putting our gear on, when a few of the workers/riders look at our tires and say "Wow, you guys must be doing a bunch of burn outs!"

They are pointing to the boogers left over from some track days.

We tell them it's from taking our motorcycles to the track.

Silence, as the gears turn in their beer filled heads.

'nuff said.

I usually just say something completely stupid like "its from riding off-road at the MX track". Something like that just really stumps them.

That's probably what they were thinking of and puzzling out why a street bike would be on a dirt track

I got asked what the big red button on my FZ1 was for by a salesman at a dealer once. (It was originally installed for a neon license plate, then turned into the accessory jack switch). I looked the salesman in the eyes and said, "Its for my NOS, gives me an extra 150HP". He said; " Damn your fucking crazy".

As he started to walk away I was laughing...he seemed to have believed it. So I said "You know what I'm just messing with you". He then seemed disappointed.

Same location same time, a pack of squids came out, we were looking at their crushed tanks and what have you and laughing about the center of all their tires being almost worn out. We started to talk to them, and they were like "yeah we love hitting the twisties"...dude I was with looks at them and points to the rear tire saying "what is with the tire". Calling the rider out, needless to say the rider walked away and did not want to speak after that.
