Now my car has locked me out of gears again (manual), I think I can see the part that has slid out of a bracket. The bracket is U shaped, so it is open on the top. This is fucking funny in some ways because last night I changed my review on that mechanic from 5 star to 1 star...and yep it fucking has a problem again.
Now I am fixing it myself, just waiting for the car to cool off...I hate working on cars thats why I paid the guy almost $700. Yep seems to be one of those weeks, Windows are not flashed properly on the house, Car has problems, and Leo Vince exhaust has/had problems...ahhh now all I need is for IBM to call saying I have an interview tomorrow...LOL I'm simple, I'm thinking maybe a new vehicle...Jeep Rubicon looks nice, and I like the 2012 Focus, and I also love the Taurus SHO. HMMMM Might talk it over with the wife, still need this car fixed to sell myself to get the most cash I can. She did say I could get a new vehicle...hmmmm |

My best friend and I took a new one last year for a test drive, it is a beast and there is no turbo lag and the AWD system works great. Its a lot bigger vehicle then the older ones but much nicer too...but then again for a max MSRP price of $43K it should be. |

Don't believe everything on wiki.

LOL
SHO page on Wiki Ford Taurus SHO - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia As for my car it cooled off and I was able to get up there, actual found I could get to the piece from the top easier. Yep the mechanic in no way replaced the piece, plastic piece screws on to clamp it down and there is some springy thing...I assume that is what holds it on from loosening....so I put it back together and I used a zip-tie to hold everything into place by going around the bracket and through two cracks in the plastic piece also keeping the spring inside with tension to help hold it on. Car seems to shift fine...yeah mechanic probably did not replace that because I bet with Ford you got to by the whole shift linkage. For now it shifts fine...time will tell. |
