It also dosen't mention his current medications...

So, for them to make such an audacious statement in such a short amount of time is not only reckless on the part of those MD's, but also a little crazy...They need to re-evaluate him for a few years, and then they can say with more certainty that this patient "cured"...

Detection of HIV is a well-proven technology, that can even determine if someone has been exoposed to the virus without getting it. So if they are testing and finding him HIV-free, that is meaningful, right there in itself.

Anybody who has ever had cancer will back up this statement...Remission is a better word at this point...

Cancer is not at all the same as a viral infection. You actually can say that someone has been cured of an infection when he is free of the infectious agent.
