Default Sad but Proud Day
Well today was a day I am very proud of my son PFC Travis Wing. He is currently in route to South Korea to do his job with the United States Army. I am very sad to have watched him leave. He will be stationed there for at least a year with the option of a second year. I love him very much and it was a very hard day but I am comforted he is going somewhere that is somewhat safe. So to anyone who has military family out in the world my thoughts and well wishes are with each of you.

I worked in South Korea (Okpo) at the Daewoo shipyard. Fantastic country. Very friendly people.

The patient care there is awesome as well for ex-pats ... they don't want bad press about their healthcare so you're kinda "celebrity" when you get sick.

Depends really on your taste in food. Korean food is quite tasty for the most part (though smelly), though I myself never really gathered much of a liking for it.

In the weekly newsletter at Daewoo they posted the cafeteria menu ... one day is was "fried sweetened conger eel with green stuff" true story!!
