I loved Riven...

Spent HOURS playing it and never got anywhere, I just couldn't figure what it was about. But... It looked like a darn nice place to live...


But my all time favorite games were Tie Fighter and MechWarrior.

My best memory of a "gaming" computer was the Commador 64 way back in like '93 and I loved me some monopoly and a GI Joes game.....I need to find an SNES and SEGA emulator for the mac to play good old games!

I still want to fucking beat starfox on the SNES which I never did but the N64 version was WAY WAY easier!

There's a couple of particular win 98 games I really miss.

Star Wars - Rogue Squadron
I can't recall the name of the other one, but it was one of several Apache helo sim games.

Man, I loved some of the Star Wars games. You can pick up packs of Star Wars games that have a lot of the old ones on them still. Knights of the Old Republic wins hands down, though.

Mechwarrior 2 was probably my favorite. Go Clan Wolf! I remember the other ones and liking the gameplay, but Mechwarrior two was the one I played the most as a kid. It was such an amazing franchise, one they really built up an incredible story behind. It was really sad to see the FASA go under.

But. There's a new Mechwarrior game.

In fact I got my XBOX because of MechAssault... And it sucked.

Then I got the XBOX 360 because of ChromeHounds. While not as good as MechWarrior, I really enjoyed that game. I never played MW2, only MW1 and MW4, MW1 ran perfectly on my 286 with 1mb of RAM!
