Why would the citizens of the UK allow this constant erosion or their rights and freedom...just to feed the checkbook of government? They are becoming slaves to finance their government? Where's William Wallace?

Nothing is ever a complete waste; it can always serve as a bad example.

Currently, Britain's main purpose seems to be to serve as a warning to Americans of what can happen if you allow your government out of control. Will we heed that warning? I don't know, but the signs right now are not good.

That's why I said that "the signs right now are not good". But it's not *as* out-of-control as it is in Britain, and we still have a chance to get it back if we get off our butts and engage our brains and exercise our own power. (And mainly and most urgently, stop voting for either Democrats OR Republicans and get ourselves some genuine alternatives that aren't puppets already bought and paid for.)
