Default So you think your traffic is bad?

Like I have always said, we have the strictest traffic laws in the world.

Paris.

Moscow, while its close, it is the worst traffic I have yet been in.

Vietnam

It would be interested to find out what their accident rates are .... if a traffic system like that works. Maybe we've got it all wrong LOL

Maybe the difference is that here people think they are the only people on the road and will run your ass over. I know Phoenix people don't give a shit ... lots of pedestrian hit and runs ... hit and run vehicle accidents. If someone in the far left lane decides to take a right exit at the last second they will cut your ass off, run you over to do it.

Ha! I have driven through the Arc De' Triumph roundabout in Paris!
It was CRAZY, but when you're in it, it's not too bad.
I was glad to be out of it.
Funny.

Couldnt tell ya, but they do not make as big a deal out of a car accident as we do. In most cases, you are pushed aside to let the rest of the herd pass lol

Funny.
All I remember about paris was riding in a couple of cabs where they were running lights, one even drove on the sidewalk for a short distance. usually I like wild rides, I was perfectly fine getting out for that one.

Working in the UK/France/Sweden/Denmark and driving in all those places, you gain a 'European' driving brain. I've driven from Copenhagen all the way to Goteburg by myself. I've ridden in a snow storm from Heathrow to Bath in the UK in the middle of the night. France was easy since they kinda drive like us. Fun stuff. I love driving their little cars with their little engines! My favorite pass time is "Castle Whacking" in the UK. What is that you say? It involves Castles off the beaten path. Basically, to get to some castles without using the M's or A's, you have to go across country - through the hedgerows via the secondary roads. The secondary roads are so tight in rural England/Wales/Scotland, that as you are zipping along, you know you're getting close to the hedgerow when the mirror on the passenger's side begins to go "Whack whack whack" as it brushes by the bushes. This last time out, I took out a Fiat mirror because of a branch. Most of the time I turn the mirror in so it doesn't hit hard. When you go to the Castles I go to, off the beaten path, you've got to be comfortable in the tiny roads.
