Went to a launch party for one of my clients (did their website). They were officially launching 'Cruz Del Sol Tequila' ... I know what you are thinking ... but tequila is not to blame this time ....

The event was put on at one of the top high end/upscale resorts here in Phoenix - The Phoenician - the guest list consists of many business men and women, of whom would be great contacts for me to potentially get business from.

I was there with my new boyfriend at the time and chatting with people I knew. We ate snacks and I tried one of the Cruz Tequila signature drinks (margarita) ... took me about an hour to drink it. Had about 2 sips out of my next one .....

Started feeling weird ... warm ... dizzy then started seeing the black close in on my vision ... uhh oh ... I know this feeling ... it happened once before ... not good ... turned to my BF and said I don't feel right .... next thing I know I hear people talking but I can't see ... like a dream ... I fade in and find myself sitting on the floor surrounded ... nothing is making sense I don't feel well ... then ....yep ... I puke ... and puke ... and puke ... resort medics arrive ... not good ... I hear call 911 ... next think I know paramedics are there telling me I need to go to the hospital right away. I refuse ...I'm so embarrassed I just want out of there.

Oh yes it gets worse

Next thing I know I get the overwhelming feeling I need to go to the bathroom NOW. I struggle to stand and plow to the bathroom ... they want to go in with me ... what? NO! but they made my BF go .. MORTIFYING... then I realize something is very wrong when I can't stand up off the toilet and collapse in the floor ... so then ALL of the paramedics and fire department are in the bathroom with me ... now I am stripped topless (no bra) with heart monitors ... with the bathroom door open and a room full of guys and my BF

So I fainted and puked all over the carpet in a upscale resort in front of many business people (who probably thought I drank too much tequila) AND my clients, had to use the bathroom in front of my BF, rescued from the bathroom floor and exposed half naked in front of many strangers.

What was wrong with me you ask? Low potassium to critical levels where I was close to cardiac arrest and dehydration. FYI Potassium injections really hurt

The moral of the story ... your humiliation could have been worse LOL

sounds to me your boyfriend poisoned you. you do know that's the number one way to get rid of a sig. other???

Food poisoning is nothing to be fucked with. I was throwing up blood, shitting blood, could hardly walk from the bedroom to the bathroom and in some instances I crawled. It too me three days to even get up the strentgth to go to the doctor. Who wanted me in the hostpital but I needed to go to work. So that's what I did...

I know what caused it too. I went through my fridge and found meat I had bought the night before that I used on a steak salad that was 11 days out of date.

Went to the hostpital, they crammed a scope up my ass. And a scope down my throat and found nothing but that everthing was inflamed.

I went into work eating nothing but chicken broth and that pedialite shit and gatorade. Took me 2 weeks before I could eat anything substantial and get my appetite back.

First and only time I have had it. I will NOT EVER let it happen to me again. It was my fault for being in a rush and not checking the exp date on what I bought. Damn that was awfull....

well it is good to know that i was sick and it was not alcohol related but also sad, but my mom is now sick too, and my fiancee was sick last weekend.
