Coke is my coffee ... I drink 2 a day but after reading that I think I will try and cut it down to 1 a day in the A.M. GOT to have my morning Coke.

High Fructose Corn Syrup is another evil I think ... I try to be conscious and read labels and not buy foods that contain it (coke has it).

I've never watched what I eat but I'm paying attention to it now. Last week's Dr. visit didn't go too well and I'm cutting soft drinks completely out for now.

I seem to recall hearing that Coke is becoming increasingly more available with cane sugar as the sweetener, which is supposedly "healthier".

Did a quick search - Mexican-made Coca-cola and some other countries outside the US make the cane sugar version. It's also available in NA during passover.

All that being said, I drink some soft drinks but never really more than 3 or so in a week. I abuse my body in so many other ways that it'd be a damn shame if it's soft drinks that does me in.

I drink more water and milk than anything else. Well, and coffee. My brother-in-law makes fun of me because when I'm at their house for a get-together, everyone else is drinking beer, rum & coke, or margaritas and I've got a glass of milk in my hand.

I used to drink some cane sugar natural soda from costco, cannot think of what its called, I liked it, but it made me thirsty as hell for some reason so I just quit drinking it. I read a study recently that claimed HFS was no worse for you than cane sugar, I am not sure I buy into that. All and all I do not drink that much soda anyhow, it feels good when doing labor sometimes for some reason, and usually when I order it with a value meal, I dump most of it out, just cannot stand it for the most part. over the years I have been trying to drink more juice, water, and I drink to much gatorade/powerade but its defiantly better than soda another thing is how bad all that stuff is on your teeth, a person really should use a straw.

it's amazing how much weight you can lose just by not drinking soda and switching to water.. I noticed in a two week period, I lost 5lbs that way.
But damn that ice cold diet pepsi is so hard to resist sometimes..
